Job Title: Laboratory Research Intern
Location: New Haven, CT (100% On-Site). You must have your own housing within a commutable distance of New Haven, CT
Duration: early June – mid August 2026
Compensation: At least $20.00 per hour
Our Corporate Partner is a well-funded, high-growth biotechnology startup established in 2025. The organization was founded by a former Chief Scientific Officer and R&D President of a global pharmaceutical leader alongside a distinguished Professor. Based in the New Haven, CT life sciences hub, the company is led by a veteran executive team with deep experience delivering novel therapeutics in both immunology and oncology.
The company is advancing the next generation of proximity-induced therapeutics based on molecular glues. By combining proprietary DNA-encoded libraries, structurally enabled drug design, and sophisticated medicinal chemistry, they are developing a powerful new modality to target "undruggable" proteins. This science aims to overcome the efficacy and selectivity challenges associated with currently available treatment options.
The Role:
Our Corporate Partner is seeking a motivated, hands-on Laboratory Research Intern to take part in and support primary laboratory operations. This role is designed for a student eager to master the essential technical foundations of drug discovery while seeing firsthand how a biotech company is built from the laboratory up. The intern will gain a 360-degree view of the drug discovery process, working directly with senior scientists to support early-stage R&D strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in performing critical biochemical and cell-based assays to evaluate lead compounds and biological targets.
- Assist in the preparation of reagents, maintenance of cell lines, and the meticulous documentation of experimental results.
- Work alongside senior scientists to process raw data, providing insights for the research team.
- Assist in the preparation for technical meetings and interdepartmental discussions.
Requirements:

Educational Background: Must be pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.

Academic Level: Preference for current juniors; sophomores will be considered if they possess significant hands-on laboratory experience outside of standard coursework.

Technical Skills: Prior experience in an academic or research laboratory is required, including hands-on experience with:
- Precision Pipetting
- Solution and Reagent Preparation
- Sterile/Aseptic Technique
- Assay Execution (In Vitro/Biochemical/Analytical Tools)

Professional Attributes: A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Logistics: For this 100% onsite role, candidates must live within a commutable distance of New Haven, CT, and be authorized to work in the United States.
