Air Quality Engineer/Scientist

 

We are looking for motivated, entry-level engineers or environmental scientists for air permitting, regulatory compliance, and leak detection and repair (LDAR) project work.  This is an exceptional opportunity to learn about environmental regulations and requirements as they pertain to air quality. 

 

Specific job duties will include the following:

  • Assistance with the preparation of air permit applications (PSD, NA-NSR, minor construction, Title V and general permits), mainly for clients residing in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
  • Assistance with the preparation of air regulatory reviews of federal air requirements, including NSPS, NESHAP, MACT and state air rules.
  • Assistance with the preparation of air emissions inventories for state reporting, permitting determinations and permit applications. 
  • Assistance and performance of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) projects, including Method 21 FID and Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) projects.

 

The candidate must meet the following qualification:

  • Must have a degree in engineering, chemistry, or environmental science.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.  Experience with process simulation programs, such as ProMax or Aspen would be beneficial.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication of complex concepts, the ability to organize multiple priorities, demonstrated talent for meeting deadlines and working under pressure, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must have ability to work remotely.  This is a 100% remote position.
