Come work as part of our team in Michigan's Upper Peninsula this summer! Our interns are vital team members who are responsible for helping to ensure that our hotel operations run smoothly. The right candidate will possess high leadership skills, great problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to “think on one's feet”. Candidates must have an outgoing personality as well as a can-do attitude as the position involved a wide range of work, from interacting face to face with guests to helping hire and train employees to contributing to the hotel’s financial decisions.
In the field of hospitality, no day is ever the same, but here is a little taste of what our Hotel Management Intern does:
- Help in overseeing daily hotel operations, including housekeeping, front desk and facilities maintenance
- Assist during hiring and training of personnel
- Take part in financial decision making for goods and services
- Helping to develop processes and policies to ensure guest satisfaction
- Deal with guests’ needs and complaints, when necessary
- Assist in research in legal and financial aspects of the business
- Other duties as assigned
Hotel Management Internship Compensation:
- $20.00/hour
- Housing package included at $50/week
- End of Season Performance Bonus
