Canoe Instructor

Join our waterfront team this summer! We are looking for a Canoe Instructor to lead our paddling program, teaching campers essential skills while maintaining a safe, high-energy environment. This is a residential position where you will live in-bunk with campers and provide mentorship throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: You will teach campers canoeing fundamentals, including essential strokes like the J-stroke, draw, and pry, as well as steering and self-rescue techniques.
• Safety: You are responsible for maintaining constant supervision of the lakefront while ensuring strict PFD compliance and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Programming: You will design engaging water games and lead organized leisure paddling sessions to keep the program fun and educational.
• Operations: You will manage the canoe fleet by overseeing launching, cleaning, and securing boats, while also inspecting all equipment for necessary repairs.
