Manufacturing Digitalization Intern
Kyocera has a temporary internship position for a Manufacturing Digitalization Intern at our San Diego, CA facility. Candidates selected for hire will be hired through one of Kyocera’s approved staffing partners.
Pay is $25 per hour

We are seeking a Manufacturing Digitalization Intern to support the conversion of manual double check sheets into digital systems for manufacturing operations. The intern will assist with creating digital tools, analyzing workflow needs, and developing visuals for lot status and scheduling using SAP/WIP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the current manual double check sheet process.
- Assist with developing a digital version usable across all manufacturing operations.
- Use WIP/SAP data to build a digital floor visualization for lot status and scheduling.
- Document system requirements and workflow improvements.
- Prepare presentations and documentation for engineering leadership.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Junior or Senior student is preferred for this internship program.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and system-design skills.
- Familiarity with SAP, data visualization, or workflow digitization preferred.
- Ability to convert manual processes into structured digital tools.
