Certified Medical Assistant

We are actively seeking qualified Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join our dedicated healthcare team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR or EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and established protocols, including IV infusions and injection administration.
  • Support acute and chronic care management, including pain management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice services.
  • Assist with specialized procedures such as catheterization, phlebotomy, tube feeding, sterile processing, and wound suturing in accordance with aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care services for diverse patient populations.
  • Conduct patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication adherence, and disease management tailored for geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support emergency situations by managing airway issues, ventilator use, or acute pain episodes in hospital or ICU settings with proficiency in critical care procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in working within various clinical environments including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency rooms, or specialty areas like cardiology or ophthalmology.

Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex cases involving infectious disease care, trauma management, or neurodegenerative conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate medical documentation and billing processes.
  • Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for charting and patient data management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), infants (neonatal ventilators), or individuals with developmental disabilities requiring specialized attention.
