The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Human Resources, has multiple seasonal vacancies for Engineering Aide positions within the following Bureaus: Bridge Design, Bridge Maintenance, Construction, Finance, Commissioner's Office, Highway Design, Highway Maintenance, Traffic, Turnpikes, Materials & Research, Federal Compliance and Transportation Systems Management & Operations.

 

SUMMARY:
 

Performs routine and non-technical work in the field, office, or laboratory in connection with the investigation, location, design, construction, maintenance and operation of engineering projects; does related work as required.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

Education/Experience: Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent.

 

License/Certification: Valid driver’s license and access to transportation for use in statewide travel.

 

Other Requirements: The applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards established by the hiring agency.

 

Trainee Option: Not applicable

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Engineering

 

 

Environmental Science / Natural Resources

 

GIS

 

Business, Finance, or Public Administration

 

Human Resources / Organizational Development

 

Communications or Marketing
