$15.93 Hourly - 24 Hours Weekly
April - October
Applicant accepting this position needs to provide their own transportation with the ability to haul lawn mower, weedwhacker and hand tools.
Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
The State of New Hampshire, NH Fish and Game Department has a part-time, seasonal vacancy for Grounds Foreman.
Summary:
Supervises and performs maintenance on a regional basis of boat access facilities, involving maintenance of boat ramps, grounds, docks, fishing piers, kiosks, toilet facilities, signs, roads, and parking lots.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License
Other Requirements: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards established by the State of New Hampshire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in grounds maintenance including operating motorized equipment

DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):
Maintains grounds performing a combination of tasks such as cutting and trimming lawns and brush
Maintains and resurfaces gravel parking lots and access roads.
Monitors and performs necessary general care and maintenance of boat ramps, toilet facilities, informational kiosks and entrance signs.
Plants grass, trees and shrubs: waters lawns and shrubs; rakes leaves and grass.
Repairs guard rail, gates, docks, fences, toilet facilities, and fishing piers.
Picks up trash and debris; cleans boat ramps.
Prepares reports on time, equipment and materials used to provide required records.
Supervises laborers, volunteers and contractors performing maintenance of access sites.
Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
Drives trucks, tractors, and riding lawn mowers carrying out required duties.
