Photographer and Graphic Design Assistant

The Photography and Graphic Design Assistant is responsible for filming, editing, and producing videos for the Center for Student Enrichment and assisting with the department’s social media presence. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

  1. Attend assigned university and student organization events to capture photos and video footage. 
     
  2. Create videos for use on social media, websites, and TV screens. 
     
  3. Edit video using Adobe Premiere and edit images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
     
  4. Coordinate with Promotional Services graphic designers to create projects with cohesive designs. 
     
  5. Assist the Promotional Services Manager and Assistant with graphic design project. 
     
  6. Ensure that assigned projects are completed in a timely manner.
     
  7. Communicate with clients to receive feedback to make appropriate edits.
     
  8. Check finished projects for accuracy and quality.  Make sure every project is properly proofed before publishing. 
     
  9. Upkeep office equipment including camera, desktop, microphone, etc.
     
  10. Assist with office projects and activities
     
  11. Assist with the maintenance of campus posting areas.
  12. Prepare reports, answer correspondence, and make presentations as deemed necessary by the Director or Assistant Directors of the Center for Student Enrichment
  13. Maintain 8-10 office hours per week.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
From the Associate Director of the Center for Student Enrichment and conjunction with the Promotional Services Manager. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher; minimum semester G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher during the semester preceding application for employment; a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher must be earned each semester for continuation of employment.

2. Digital cinema or media productions or related major

3. Sophomore status or above by Fall of 2025.

4. Above average communication skills — writing, speaking, and listening.

5. Background and experience producing videos.

6. Experience with graphic design (comparable to AD118) and professional photo and video equipment.
