Dietary Aide
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, checking trays for accuracy, delivering, and picking up of meal trays, washing dishes, assisting patients with tray setup, and conducting rounds for patient satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists cooks by preparing foods, pouring beverages, and transporting groceries from the storeroom, cooler and freezer.
- Checks in and rotates stock.
- Cleans equipment and service kitchen areas.
- Completes all cleaning duties in accordance with established job routines.
- Meets scheduled mealtimes and snack times.
- Operates mechanical equipment such as mixer, grinder, blender, slicer, and dish machine.
- Provides exceptional service to residents, patients, family members and other Facility staff members.
- Stock pantries and service areas in dining rooms as needed.
- Transports resident/patient meals to the nursing units via food cart.
- Washes dishes by hand and machine. Checks and records pot and pan sanitizer sink for correct solution and dish machine temperatures/sanitizer levels as assigned.
- Works on serving line to set up and serve resident/patient meals trays and via table side service.
- All other duties as assigned.
