Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional Business Development Intern to support executive-level outreach and introductory engagements with C‑suite decision-makers (CEO, CFO, CHRO, COO). This role focuses on initiating conversations, qualifying interest, and setting the stage for senior sales leadership to present the Patriot Benefits plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in sales, consulting, executive communications, or entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct strategic outreach to C‑suite executives via email, LinkedIn, and phone
  • Deliver concise, value-driven introductions to the Patriot Benefits plan
  • Research target companies and executives to tailor outreach messaging
  • Qualify prospects and identify business needs, benefits challenges, and decision timelines
  • Schedule discovery or presentation meetings for senior leadership
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and engagement in CRM tools
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to refine messaging and positioning
  • Track outreach metrics and contribute to pipeline reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related fields
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking with senior executives in a professional setting
  • Highly organized, proactive, and goal-oriented
  • Basic understanding of sales, consulting, or B2B relationships (training provided)
  • Proficiency with email, LinkedIn, and basic productivity tools (CRM experience is a plus)

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience in sales, cold outreach, or client-facing roles
  • Interest in employee benefits, insurance, or healthcare solutions
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or CRM platforms
  • Confidence handling objections and qualifying conversations
