A Day in the Life
You are a vital partner in the classroom ecosystem. Your role includes:
- Collaborating: Partnering with lead full-time teachers to keep daily routines on track and students engaged.
- Instructional Support: Leading "breakout" sessions or providing 1-on-1 guidance to students who need an extra boost.
- Classroom Management: Helping maintain a positive, focused learning environment for diverse learners.
What You Need to Get Started in CA
California has specific guidelines, but we make it easy to see where you fit:

Option 1: The Degree Track (Fastest Start)
- You have a Bachelor’s degree (any major).
- The Perk: You are eligible to start immediately as a Paraprofessional or Teacher’s Aide, no credential required.

Option 2: The Undergrad Track
- You are still working toward your degree and have completed at least 90 college credits.
- The Requirement: You must hold the CA CL-505d Emergency Permit for Prospective Teachers. (Note: If you are close to graduating, we highly recommend finishing your degree first to unlock the most job types!)

Universal Requirements:
- A willingness to pass a standard background check and TB test (we will guide you through the exact steps).
- A dependable, empathetic mindset and a genuine desire to support student success.
