Landscape Crew Member

Job Description:

A Landscape Crew Member is involved in the installation and maintenance

projects for North Shore Garden Design. Crew members are responsible for

completing landscape and hardscape installation and maintenance with a

high level of precision and business-minded efficiency and will report to their

Landscape Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Perform activities on the job site including but not limited to: installation

and maintenance of hardscapes, irrigation, and plant material.

• Performs tasks effectively and efficiently.

• Ensures all work is performed in accordance with industry and company

standards.

• Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance.

• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.

• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize all required personal protective equipment.

• Ensures that all installation and maintenance work is performed in

accordance with industry and company standards.

• Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are

followed.

• Interacts with clients in order to help ensure satisfactory results.

• Reports for duty at the designated time and location each day.

• Follows directions from supervisor.

• Communicates well with all crew members, manager, supervisor, and

clients.

• Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions• Reputable driving record and valid driver’s license

• Ability to use basic landscape tools, equipment, machinery, trailers, and

other landscape equipment

• Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal

supervision.

• Highly motivated and self-driven

• Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun, fast-paced

environment.

• Ability to work independently and in team settings.

• Good time management skills and availability to work extended hours

when needed.

• Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and

backgrounds (i.e. clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and

designers)

• Ability to exercise good judgement with a strong attention to detail

• Clean and professional appearance

• Punctual and dependable

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds for extended periods of time.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Employees are offered competitive pay commensurate to experience and/or

education with benefits. Starting wages average $25-35/hr with potential for

significant growth. Paid holidays and 3 weeks of paid time off for full-time

employees. Additionally, a ferry stipend is available for off-island commuters. To
