Position Type: Paid Internship
Hours Required: 10hrs/week
Position Overview
Interns at Project Blue play a key role in supporting clients with accessing needed benefits and services over the course of their internship. This position offers meaningful, hands-on experience in case management, community outreach, and program support within a dynamic, client-centered environment.
Responsibilities
Client Support & Case Management Assistance
- Assigned to a PB Case Manager to support their specific caseload
- Assist with client-facing duties, including:
- Offering direct support to clients in navigating services
- Assist with administrative duties, including:
- Completing referrals for additional services
- File maintenance and documentation
- Organizing and updating client records as directed
Youth Outreach
- Conduct outreach efforts to recruit youth for Project Blue's youth programs
- Engage with community members and partners to promote program participation
- Assist with follow-up communications with prospective youth participants through outreach events
Program Documentation & Tracking
- Track and document program sessions using sign-in sheets, detailed notes, photos, and any other means deemed appropriate
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of session documentation to program staff
- Support staff in maintaining organized program records
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (preferred fields: social work, human services, public health, nonprofit management, education, or related)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage professionally with diverse client populations
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Comfortable working in both office and community-based settings
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling client information
Compensation
This is a paid internship. The intern will gain supervised, practical experience to complement their academic coursework.
