About AllTrails

AllTrails is the world’s most popular and trusted platform for outdoor exploration. We connect people to the outdoors, help them discover new places, and elevate their experiences on the trail. With the most comprehensive collection of trails in the world, AllTrails supports inclusive access to nature for a global community of millions of trailgoers. Every day, we solve incredibly hard problems to get more people outside, for their wellbeing and the collective care of the natural world. Join us!

This is a U.S. based remote position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. San Francisco Bay Area employees are highly encouraged to come into the office one day a week.

About the internship

Join the AllTrails team for a summer of high-impact work.

At AllTrails, interns tackle real problems that affect millions of people who use our platform to get outside every day. You won't be doing busy work, you'll own a high-impact project from start to finish and present your results directly to leadership.

From day one, you'll be embedded in your team with a dedicated manager who is invested in your growth. You'll join team meetings, collaborate cross-functionally, and have a voice in how we build. Whether you're helping shape how people discover trails, crunching data that drives product decisions, or creating content that reaches a global community — your work here will matter.

If you're looking for a summer where you grow fast, solve hard problems, and leave with something you're genuinely proud of, this is it.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Onboard with the Paid Partnerships team, audit recent sponsored partner list campaigns, and interview stakeholders across Partnerships, Marketing, and Product to document current workflows and identify key pain points
  • Design an ideal end-to-end campaign workflow — from kickoff to launch — and outline the structure of a scalable Sponsored List Toolkit
  • Build out the core toolkit components: campaign kickoff templates, sponsored list copy templates, a brand asset organization framework, and a clear campaign process and approvals guide
  • Prototype and test AI-assisted copy workflows for sponsored list creation — experimenting with prompts and frameworks that generate partner-ready drafts, then integrating them into the toolkit
  • Run a live test scenario using the toolkit against a past or mock campaign, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Paid Partnerships, Marketing/Brand, and Product teams throughout the project
  • Finalize and centralize the toolkit in a shared hub (e.g., Drive or Notion), and present the full framework and recommendations to the broader Partnerships and Marketing teams

At the end of the internship, success looks like:

  • A fully built Sponsored List Campaign Toolkit — including kickoff templates, copy frameworks, asset organization, AI-assisted workflow prompts, and a campaign process guide — handed off and ready for the team to use immediately
  • A centralized toolkit hub that gives the Partnerships team a single source of truth for planning and executing sponsored campaigns at scale
  • A final presentation to Partnerships and Marketing leadership summarizing the project, key insights, and recommendations for how the toolkit reduces operational friction going forward

What you bring:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate degree program. This opportunity is for second or third-year Bachelor students who are graduating between December 2027 – June 2029
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate how this internship aligns with their current field of study or future career goals through relevant coursework, volunteer work, or campus leadership
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a track record of building or improving structured processes
  • Experience with collaborative tools such as Notion or Google Workspace
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills, with the ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clear, actionable processes
  • Interest in marketing operations, partnerships marketing, or advertising
  • Comfort experimenting with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc) for content and workflow applications

Program Details:

  • Length of program: ~10 weeks (Summer 2026, roughly June through August)
  • Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Compensation: $40/hr
  • Benefits: This role is eligible for paid company holidays, 2 sick days and 2 days of paid vacation.
  • Peak Membership: 5 Lifetime Peak Memberships for you and your friends and family
  • Location: This is a U.S. based remote position, with a preference for interns based in one of our hub locations: San Francisco, Portland OR, Seattle, Denver, New York, Boston, Bend OR, or Salt Lake City. Being near a hub gives interns the opportunity to join a special trail day during the program and, where available, participate in local co-working days. San Francisco Bay Area employees are highly encouraged to come into the office one day a week
