Student Journalism/Media Fellowship

Fuente Latina is accepting applications for its Student Media Reporting Trip to Poland.

This one-week, all-expenses-paid fellowship is designed for Spanish-speaking student journalists who want hands-on reporting experience in several cities in Poland with guidance from experienced editors.

Trip dates run from May through August, including a trip during Memorial Day week (the week of May 22-28).

We’re currently reviewing applications for a one-week, all-expenses-paid reporting delegation to Poland. During the program, students work closely with our team of experienced journalists, report in the field, and have their work edited and published in established outlets. It’s a meaningful opportunity to strengthen your portfolio, gain practical newsroom experience, and grow as a reporter in a very real way.

Who can apply

  • Undergraduate and graduate student journalists enrolled at universities in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • Spanish speakers, age 18+
  • Able to legally travel outside the U.S.

What you’ll submit

  • Work samples
  • A letter of recommendation
  • Story ideas you’d like to report from Poland

Fellows are paired with professional journalists in the U.S. and Latin America who edit their work and publish it in their outlets.
