About Team

The Product Management team at Rubrik drives the company’s vision forward, ensuring we continue to secure the world’s Data, AI, and Identity by delivering on our market-leading platform to address our customers’ most challenging data management & security needs. Our Product Managers are responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams towards the goal of shipping high-quality products on time. We wear multiple hats throughout the different stages in the product lifecycle and set the vision for our growing family of products. As advocates for both our users and our business, Product Managers balance varied perspectives and empower their teams to do great work.

About Role

Rubrik's Managed Service Provider (MSP) business is a key strategic lever for the company. MSPs build data protection and cyber recovery services on top of vendor platforms like Rubrik and deliver them to their end customer. Getting the MSP experience right is both a product challenge and a business strategy challenge.

As a Product Management Intern on the MSP team, you will report to the Director of Product Management, Platform, driving forward-looking initiatives that shape roadmap direction and long-term product strategy. You'll take ownership of high-impact projects at the intersection of product strategy, cross-functional execution, and customer insight — working across engineering, design, sales, and customer-facing teams with direct exposure to MSP customers and their real-world operational challenges.

  • Analyze MSP operational workflows to identify high-impact product opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive and adjacent market analysis to assess positioning and differentiation within the MSP landscape.
  • Develop structured problem statements, opportunity assessments, and product requirements documents (PRDs), translating customer needs into actionable product direction.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and GTM teams to evaluate technical feasibility, define tradeoffs, and present recommendations to product leadership.
  • Engage with MSP customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Support, Customer Success) to validate assumptions and ground your work in real customer pain points.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Master’s or MBA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Graduation Date: Expected completion in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Availability: Ability to commit full-time to a 12-week internship program at HQ in our Palo Alto, CA Office.

Skills & Interests:

  • Technical Skills & Experience:
    • Experience analyzing complex technical systems, enterprise software, or cloud infrastructure through coursework, internships, research, or prior work experience.
    • Comfortable engaging in technical discussions around system architecture, multi-tenancy models, APIs, and platform design; programming experience is a bonus.
    • Prior exposure to product management, consulting, B2B SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or managed services is a plus.
    • Strong ability to break down ambiguous, multi-stakeholder problems, identify core tradeoffs, and develop structured recommendations.
  • Interest & Domain Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated interest in enterprise SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or the managed services ecosystem - with curiosity about how service providers build businesses on top of vendor platforms.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analysis and recommendations to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
    • Comfort operating in ambiguity - shaping the playbook, not following one.
