Engineering Internship Program

Engineering Internship Program
Statements of Work

Program Objective

Support the mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams by improving the accuracy, completeness, and usability of assembly documentation for hardware builds and production processes.

Scope of Work

• Review released mechanical drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and related documentation for completeness and accuracy.

• Observe hardware assembly activity on the production floor to understand actual build flow, tooling usage, and technician work practices.

• Document step-by-step assembly procedures for mechanical subassemblies and finished products.

• Identify discrepancies between released documentation and actual assembly methods, tooling requirements, or sequence dependencies.

• Support engineers in updating CAD models, drawings, work instructions, and supporting manufacturing documentation.

• Organize documentation to improve repeatability, training efficiency, and production readiness.

Deliverables

• Revised assembly documentation packages.

• Standardized work instructions for production use.

• Process documentation to support technician onboarding and cross-training.

• Supplemental training materials, including written guides, marked-up visuals, or basic video references.
