About the Position:

Under the general direction of the Design Office Chief of Project Development-a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the Senior Transportation Engineer (Specialist), serves as the District Design Oversight Engineer. The incumbent is responsible for performing and coordinating independent quality assurance for all phases of locally and privately funded transportation projects affecting the State Highway System (SHS). The incumbent serves as the Design point of contact for all projects that require an encroachment permit through the Encroachment Permits Office Process (EPOP) or the Quality Management Assessment Process (QMAP). The incumbent will also be responsible for performing Design Senior Peer Constructability Reviews for capital projects on the SHS.
