Position Overview
The Recruiting Intern will support the talent acquisition process by assisting with
candidate sourcing, screening, and coordination of hiring activities. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in full-cycle recruiting within a dynamic technical services environment. This position will pay $13.00 per hour and work on-site in our Virginia Beach office, hours can be flexible.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Candidate Engagement
- Source candidates through job boards including passive candidate
identification - Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and
alignment with role requirements - Communicate with candidates throughout the recruiting process to ensure a
positive candidate experience
Coordination & Process Support
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Extending employment offers
- Support pre-employment processes, including background checks
- Schedule new-hires for orientation
Systems & Administration
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the applicant tracking
system (ATS) - Manage and update job postings
- Assist with recruiting-related research, including salary benchmarking
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build
professional rapport with candidates quickly - High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment - Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or a related field - Prior recruiting experience is a plus, but not required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based, with extended periods of sitting and computer use
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs
