As our risk management and compliance intern you will help our compliance team with internal and external audits and examinations and processes in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act. Every day, you will assist the internal auditor and Bank Secrecy Act compliance specialist complete a multitude of compliance related updates and reports, ensure thorough documentation, and assist with researching and retrieving audit and examination documentation as requested.
Here's what you can expect:
- Assisting with BSA responsibilities, including completing OFAC searches, account/transaction reviews, and annual risk assessments
- Completing risk rating for new member accounts
- Performing monthly and quarterly fraud procedures
- Assisting with external audits and examinations
- Performing reviews to identify lack of compliance with laws and/or regulations, policies and procedures, and provide alternatives
- Supportive, positive environment
Here’s what we expect:
- 30-36 hours a week, typically Monday-Thursday for an approximate total of 300 hours
- Effective communication with coworkers and members
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Passion for service and supporting the mission and vision of Capital Credit Union
