Student Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Current New Jersey undergraduate students
- Current New Jersey graduate students
- Recent New Jersey graduates (within one year)
- NJ resident undergraduate students attending school outside New Jersey
Role Description
HydraEarth Network is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern for Summer 2026. This role provides hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives, communications strategy, and outreach efforts.
The intern will assist with content creation, social media management, campaign development, and promotional initiatives to increase awareness of HydraEarth Network’s programs and initiatives. This position offers valuable experience in nonprofit marketing, sustainability communications, and workforce development.
The intern will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications and receive mentorship in content creation, campaign management, and communications strategy.
Responsibilities
- Create content for social media, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Assist with email campaigns and social media strategy
- Support branding and messaging consistency across platforms
- Track engagement metrics and assist with reporting
- Conduct light market research to support outreach efforts
- Collaborate with staff on outreach and communications campaigns
- Assist with marketing initiatives promoting workforce development programs and events
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Interest in marketing, communications, or nonprofit outreach
- Passion for sustainability, clean energy, and environmental initiatives
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital tools preferred
- Experience with content creation or marketing campaigns is a plus
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program
