Summer Event Intern
The Oregon Trial Lawyers Association has one intern position available for summer 2026. The intern will assist the Education Director and other OTLA Staff with a wide variety of tasks but will primarily be focused on helping to plan and implement OTLA’s Annual Summer Convention scheduled for August 13-15th.
The intern will have the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Help in the planning of all aspects of several social events that make up our 3-day convention
- Organizing and implementing Kids Klub events
- Assist in creating marketing and promotional materials
- Staffing the convention at the Sunriver Resort in Bend, Oregon
- Tracking RSVPs in the database
Other duties may include:
- Assisting with our annual membership renewal drive
- Providing administrative support to OTLA’s staff
- Website and graphic design
- Working with service providers and contractors
The ideal candidate for this internship will be interested in non-profit management and advocacy work. This is NOT a legal internship.
The internship is paid, and we require a two-month minimum commitment beginning in mid-May or early June, working a minimum of 20 hours per week. Open availability August 12-16th is mandatory. We are offering $18/hour.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills; preference given to people with knowledge of Word, Excel, and mail merging documents. Design program experience a plus
- Good customer service skills
- An enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn
