Woodwork Instructor

Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is a traditional 7-week all-girls sleepaway camp in the Adirondacks, NY, and is seeking a Woodworking Instructor for Summer 2026.

This is a great opportunity for creative educators, makers, and collegiate students to gain hands-on teaching experience while making a meaningful impact on young people. At Point O’Pines, our Woodworking program is designed to be fun, safe, and skill-building for campers ages 6–15, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging woodworking projects and skill-based lessons for campers of all experience levels
  • Teach fundamental woodworking skills, tool safety, and proper shop practices
  • Guide campers through individual and group projects from concept to completion
  • Adapt instruction based on campers’ abilities and creativity
  • Foster confidence, independence, and pride in craftsmanship
