Social Media Content Intern

Position Overview:

The Las Vegas Aces is a professional women’s basketball team based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Las Vegas Aces are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly organized individual to join the team as a Social Media Content Intern.  The intern will be responsible for shooting and editing photos on game days and other team related events and assisting with the creation of social media content.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Help in execution of full social publishing across X/Twitter, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, and other Aces platforms for home and away games
• Real-time event coverage for Social, including capturing and editing mobile phone video for immediate posting
• May be required to attend special events and player/mascot/organization appearances throughout the community outside of home games during the season
• Assist with the creation, conception, and execution of social publishing
• Work with the Director of Social Media and Manager of Digital Content Strategy to ensure content requests and assignments are met

Preferences:

• Experience in collegiate or professional sports preferred
• Shoot and edit Social video content on mobile phone
• Must be able to work independently or with a team to create content 
• Possess a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere

Qualifications:

• A portfolio is required, please submit past and current work in a PDF document or provide a link to your website within your resume
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite such as: Photoshop and Premiere Pro
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to problem-solve and produce content in real-time under tight deadlines
• Strong understanding of social media landscape and how to create engaging content for specific platforms
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism around athletes and coaches
• Ability to work in a sports environment in a professional manner
