Job Summary
The Sales Intern will support the sales team by assisting with day-to-day sales activities, client research, and project coordination related to commercial flooring projects. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the sales process—from initial client outreach and proposal support through project execution—while developing professional skills in communication, organization, and relationship management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Account Executives with sales initiatives and ongoing client projects.
- Conduct research on prospective customers, contractors, and end-users to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
- Help review project plans, specifications, and take-offs under the guidance of Sales or Estimating staff.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Estimating, Project Management, and Operations) to gather information for bids and proposals.
- Attend customer meetings, job site visits, or internal sales meetings as appropriate to gain field experience.
- Update and maintain customer records, project tracking logs, and basic reports.
- Assist with follow-up communications related to bids, proposals, and project status updates.
- Perform general administrative support tasks for the sales department as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM or project management tools is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in sales, construction, or the commercial flooring industry preferred.
