Public Relations Intern
Austin-based Mercom is the nation's leading communications agency specializing in the clean energy sector. We are currently hiring PR interns who desire real-world communications experience.
Mercom's interns have a hand-on learning opportunity to assist the account team with numerous daily communications activities. Depending on experience, ambition, and availability, our interns may also undertake projects of wider scope and responsibility. Duties can include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Assisting with PR campaign efforts, including monitoring media, researching reporters and competitors, and compiling data
- Creating social media, multimedia, and other digital content
- Updating websites, providing creative input
- Updating presentations
- Drafting press materials, corporate profiles, original content, media & analyst briefs, conference overviews, etc.
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and internal professional development/ training activities
- Other public relations tasks as required
Preferred: Available for 2 semesters
Internship start date will be at the beginning of summer through at least the beginning of Fall semester.
