The School of Humanities and Social Sciences is part of Valencia College’s general education program and offers degree pathways in disciplines such as history and art history. Our school provides courses that are integral to a liberal arts education and the Associate of Arts degree.
The Humanities discipline within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences gives students the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills through the study of subjects related to human culture, including literature, history, art, music, and philosophy. Coursework emphasizes open class discussions, critical reading and writing assignments, and independent thinking.
Teaching Responsibilities
We are hiring faculty members to teach the following courses:

- ARH2050
- ARH2051
What are the Position Requirements:
- A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a major in art history, Humanities, or Fine Arts or 18 graduate semester hours in Art History, Humanities, or Fine Arts and a master’s degree.
- This position will offer Face-to-Face, Mixed Mode modalities. For more information about course type modalities, please click here.
- These positions are available at the East, Lake Nona, West, Downtown, Osceola, Winter Park, and Poinciana campuses.
- Please note that you will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.
