Director of Public Policy
We are hiring: Director of Public Policy and Advocacy
Location: Arlington Heights, IL | Full-Time | $70,000/year
Clearbrook is seeking a strategic leader to drive systemic change and empower over 8,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will shape legislative priorities, build bipartisan relationships, and lead grassroots advocacy to advance our mission.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead advocacy strategies targeting Congress and the Illinois State Legislature
- Advise the CEO and leadership on policy matters
- Manage policy events, volunteer advocates, and grassroots campaigns
- Foster self-advocacy among the individuals we serve
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health, government, political science, public policy, communications, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of policy advocacy or association management experience
- Proven leadership with bipartisan relationship-building
- Eligible to work in the US with a valid Illinois driver’s license
