Behavior Technician

Our ABA Behavior Technicians work (part-time) with our In-Home team. You will be working with the client in their natural environment (i.e. family home). The BT will report in to a Case Supervisor (20% direct supervision) and be directly overseen by a family caregiver / family member.

The average session is 2.5-3 hours in length. The most common session schedules for our part-time Behavior Technicians are 3-6 pm and 4-7 pm (or similar) on weekdays.

We have immediate openings available for a Behavior Technician with availability from: Monday-Friday from 2:00 pm-7:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Those located in the Los Angeles county and Orange county areas are highly encouraged to apply. Hours typically range from for 8-18 per week.

Job Description:

  • Work 1:1 with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities
  • Implement skill acquisition programs to teach social, communication, safety, and daily living skills
  • Implement behavior reduction programs
  • Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of kiddos and others
  • Data collection and graphing
  • Good ethics, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists (Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, etc.)
  • Conduct parent education

Job Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a vehicle and be a named person on the current insurance policy of the vehicle they drive
  • Applicants must be passionate about Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Services, Social Work or related field
  • Experience working with children and their families
  • Individuals with prior experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities will be given preference.
