Undergrad Research Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate student to join our research team as a Research Assistant for the summer. This position offers hands-on experience in structural engineering research, with a focus on steel and steel-concrete composite structure design and computational analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with research related to the design and analysis of steel and steel-concrete composite structures

· Perform structural modeling and simulations using SAP2000

· Check the design using PTC Mathcad

· Organize and document research findings

· Collaborate with the research team

Required Qualifications:

· Current undergraduate student in Civil Engineering (structural engineering) or a related field

· Knowledge of steel and steel-concrete composite structure design principles

· Experience with SAP2000 software

· Familiarity with Mathcad programming/coding

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in structural engineering steel and steel-concrete composite structures

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Availability:

· Must be available to work from May 15 through August 15.
