General Summary
Location: Waterford, MI This position will have a Hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days working from your home office.
Rate: $18.61 - $21.71 per hour.
Job Specific Summary:
The Information Technology Business Analyst Intern with Oakland County will be providing hands on support for the Applications and Client Services team as the interface between the business teams and the website development team. In this role, you will work on a project to migrate existing web sites to a new web hosting and content management tool. Based on your skills, training and experience, you will either be responsible for translating technical requirements into HTML or Java scripting, OR you will be gathering business requirements and helping the technical team with understanding the business team's needs, OR you may be supporting the testing during the development process.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters level university program with an accredited institution with a Major of Business Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or closely related major.
2. Maintain a valid driver's license
3. Familiarity with Website Content Management Systems, OR training in HTML, CSS, Java Script web technologies
4. Sound understanding of Agile SDLC concepts

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS WITHIN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
May develop and revise Internet sites in response to operating department need.
Performs routine maintenance and hardware diagnostics to personal computers.
Performs a variety of duties such as install software upgrades, install, and configure auxiliary circuit boards, perform network file server maintenance and upgrades, and assist with determining operating system problems.
May contact technical support representatives on the phone or via the Internet in response to identified problems.
Performs debugging tests on less complex programs in order to locate and correct errors.
Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS & ABILITIES
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. For positions in Information Technology: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Master's level Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related program at an accredited college or university.
2. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
1. Considerable ability to assimilate and apply knowledge learned on the job and in formal classroom training.
2. Considerable knowledge of and ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and Internet software.
3. Reasonable knowledge of the use of process mapping tools and/or personal computers and software.
4. Reasonable knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffer’s license.
Must maintain enrollment and be registered to continue active course work in an accredited program for a major specified under Minimum Qualifications.
