Learning and Talent Development Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated intern to support our Learning & Talent Development team within a dynamic law firm environment. This internship provides hands-on exposure to learning and development activities, with a primary focus on supporting training initiatives for legal administrative assistants. The role emphasizes learning by doing, collaboration, and foundational skill development in a professional services setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Learning Content Support

  • Assist with researching and identifying learning resources and tools used by the team.
  • Support the creation, organization, and updating of on-demand learning materials aligned with established learning paths.
  • Assist in coordinating with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure materials remain current.
  • Help maintain the learning content library and ensure materials are well-organized and accessible.

Assessment & Evaluation Support

  • Assist with the creation of basic knowledge checks or surveys to support learning programs.
  • Help compile and summarize feedback and assessment results for review by the L&TD team.

Learning Platform & Technology Support

  • Upload and organize training materials within the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist with basic user support related to accessing learning content, escalating issues as needed.

Program & Project Support

  • Provide administrative and project support for learning initiatives, including scheduling, communications, and documentation.
  • Assist with training-related support for other firm initiatives as assigned, under the direction of the L&TD team.

Engagement & Communications

  • Assist in gathering learner feedback to help improve training offerings.
  • Support the development of basic communications to promote learning opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications: 

Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources.

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business, Information Systems, or a related field

Experience: Experience with instructional design tools, LMS platforms, or AI tools is a plus, but not required.

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Gain exposure to learning and development practices and tools utilized in a professional services environment

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift 20 lbs., and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
