The Role
This is a laboratory-based position beginning with extractions, digestions, gravimetric and colorimetric testing, and eventually evolving to more complex techniques such as Chromatography, Spectroscopy, and more—while growing into a technical expert others rely on.
Day-to-day includes:
- Sample and reagent preparation and analysis
- Instrument calibration, operation, and basic troubleshooting
- Data entry, review, and reporting
- Helping write/revise SOPs and technical documents
- Mentoring newer analysts as you advance Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Hands-on lab experience (instrumental and applications coursework a plus)
- Comfortable with Windows, Excel, Word, and learning LIMS software
- Team player who can also troubleshoot independently
- Willing to temporarily relocate to northern Wisconsin for 2+ weeks for training and then permanently relocate to Waukesha, WI
We will fully train the right person—attitude and work ethic matter more than having every skill on day one.
