Choreographer

Seeking crew for “The Prom,” by Theater for Charity. Production states: “Theater for Charity is putting on ‘The Prom’ in Naperville IL/ We are a 501C3 not for profit Theater Company in Naperville, Illinois and we give our profits to a selected charity in the area. Youth Outlook is our selected charity for 2026. mission is to create quality theater ‘for good’ — using the arts to positively impact our local communities.​ We believe theater is more than simply putting on a great show. It’s about producing shows for good - performances that bring people together while supporting meaningful causes.​ Since 2023, we have: Produced 2 cabaret and 2 trivia night fundraisers to support our mission, Produced five shows: Into the Woods, High School Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Freaky Friday, and our upcoming 2026 production, The Prom. Also, we welcomed over 100 performers, ages 8 to 74, entertained more than 1,000 audience members, and donated over $10,000 to local charitable organizations.”

This role will be responsible for designing and teaching engaging, story-driven choreography for a cast of approximately 25 performers, ranging in experience levels. The Choreographer will collaborate closely with the Director and Music Director to ensure movement supports both the storytelling and musicality of the production. Responsibilities include preparing and leading choreography for auditions, participating in casting decisions, and teaching and refining choreography throughout the rehearsal process.

This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and the ability to work with a community-based cast in a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment—while delivering a polished, entertaining production.
