About BrightCore Academy
BrightCore Academy is an after-school enrichment program offering hands-on learning experiences for kids and teens, ages 5–17. Through robotics, STEM, videography, public speaking, leadership and creative technology, we help students build confidence, critical thinking, and real-world skills in a fun, engaging environment.
Role Overview
We are seeking part-time Instructors to teach subjects and lead engaging, hands-on workshops for young learners. This role is ideal for someone interested in education, creativity, STEM, and working directly with kids in a fun, fast-paced, interactive environment.
Subjects include:
- Robotics
- Coding
- Leadership
- Videography
- Public Speaking
- Chess
- Rubik's Cube
- Mental Arithmetic
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and/or teach relevant subjects as a class/workshop/presentation for kids and teens, ages 5–17
- Lead small group activities and guide students through hands-on projects
- Set up, organize, and manage classroom materials (robotics kits, tablets, supplies, etc.)
- Foster a positive, energetic, and structured learning environment
- Manage student behavior and keep students engaged and on task
- Provide feedback to improve curriculum and overall student experience
Required Skills
- Ability to engage and work effectively with young children and/or teens
- Basic problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Adaptability and ability to think on your feet in a classroom setting
- Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university
- Passion for working with children and teens and supporting their learning and development
- Availability for after-school hours and/or weekends
- Reliable transportation to program locations
- Willingness to complete a background check, as required by law for all individuals working with minors
