The teacher is responsible for the planning and implementation of instruction in music to students in grades K-8. The teacher provides feedback to both students and parents and ensures that Immanuel’s music curriculum meets and exceeds standards. Other professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising students, maintaining student records, participating in professional development, communicating with staff/students/parents, and supporting co-curricular/extracurricular activities.

 

Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Meet any regulatory requirements of the position. (4) Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. (5) Hold an appropriate teaching certificate in the state of Illinois, or be willing to pursue the certificate. (6) Successfully complete the background check process.
