Quality Technician
At Maveric Automation, we solder, machine, assemble, weld and build finished products — sometimes all on the same job. Our work ends up in places that demand it be right. Our customers depend on us to get things right and we are looking to add someone to the team. We're small and growing, it's not a lab or a fancy office or a corporate campus, it's a workshop and with that comes a need for someone who is careful, safe and also comfortable with that environment.
We're hiring for quality. Not necessarily someone with a quality control resume — we'll teach you the way we do things and the technical skills you'll need to be successful, but there's a few things we can't teach. We're looking for someone who is self-aware enough to recognize and be honest about what they don't know, no matter what. Someone who notices things. Someone who can't let something go when it doesn't feel right.
What you'll be doing
- Learning to measure and inspect mechanical parts
- Learning to perform electrical and functional testing
- Supporting quality across machining, electronics, and assembly
- Working with suppliers and incoming parts to make sure what we receive is actually what we expect
- You'll see how supplier quality, incoming inspection, and production all interact
- Keeping records that hold up to serious scrutiny
What we actually care about
- You're curious, you ask questions until you are sure you understand
- You don't guess. If you don't know, you say so.
- You notice things other people walk past
- You can evaluate whether or not you understand something
- You're willing to learn and you don't fake it when you haven't
- You care about the reasoning behind the way things are being done
You'll notice there's no manufacturing or quality control experience listed. We've hired from outside these fields before and it's worked out better than we had expected. We don't care if you're just getting started in your career or come from a different industry, anywhere that requires curiosity and an eye for detail — we want to hear from you.
