Hostess
Job Summary
The hostess is responsible for the first and last impression of the Club for Members and their guests. They are to make sure that Members and guests feel welcomed, cared for a valued. The hostess is expected to keep the restaurant seated in a timely and orderly fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members/guests upon arrival
- Seat members/guests, accordingly, presenting them with the current menus
- Answer phones and transfer as needed, take messages
- Take to-go orders, input into POS, and assist in boxing and delivering to members
- Assist members with booking reservations
- Clean menus as needed
- Assist servers with polishing glassware, silverware, and other tasks as needed
- Thank members/guests upon departure
Qualifications
- No restaurant experience required
- Possess an outgoing, friendly, professional personality
- Highly energetic, self-starter, hands-on approach to hospitality/service with the ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced, event-driven environment
- Proof of Food Handlers Card
- Able to provide excellent communication skills at all levels. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
