Facilitator
CYI is looking for 3 program facilitators to help lead a two-month summer leadership program consisting of two cohorts educating New York City high school youth on topics such as identity, Asian American activism, and anti-blackness. Facilitators are expected to have past leadership experience(s), strong facilitation skills, and to be passionate about the larger Asian American community. We invite applications from high school and college students who are passionate about issues affecting the Asian American diaspora. Facilitators should be ready to take on the rewarding challenge of working with a team to raise social consciousness among Asian American youth.
Facilitators are expected to work under program directors during the program. Ideal facilitators will be either freshman or sophomore year college students. The expected commitment during the program cycle is expected to be two five-hour workshops per week plus planning time.
