Junior Systems Analyst

Job Title: Junior Systems Analyst (Web Applications)

Location: Columbia, MD (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Systems Analyst with a strong technical mindset to support the design, analysis, and implementation of modern web applications.

This role is ideal for candidates with early experience in web development, system analysis, or technical product support who can understand both business needs and system behavior.

You will work closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to analyze system requirements, define workflows, and support API-driven and cloud-based applications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into system-level specifications and workflows
  • Work closely with developers to understand and document application architecture, APIs, and integrations
  • Create and maintain System Requirement Specifications (SRS), workflows, and data flow diagrams
  • Assist in defining API contracts, request/response structures, and integration points
  • Support debugging, issue analysis, and root cause identification
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews)
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure functional accuracy and system behavior validation
  • Help bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams

 

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in Systems Analysis / Technical Business Analysis / Web Development
  • Basic understanding of:
    • REST APIs and JSON
    • Databases (SQL or NoSQL fundamentals)
  • Ability to read and understand technical flows, logs, and API responses
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Good to Have

  • Exposure to AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2)
  • Familiarity in working with various AI Models (GPT, Claude) or prompt-driven systems
  • Experience with tools like Postman, Swagger
  • Basic debugging or development experience is an added advantage.
