Accounting Internship

Position Overview

Redapple Digital Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support the company’s financial operations. This is a paid, part-time internship that offers valuable exposure to real-world accounting practices, financial reporting, bookkeeping processes, and compliance in a growing technology company.

The intern will work closely with company management, internal bookkeeping staff, and an external CPA to assist with accounting tasks and financial documentation.

This role is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing careers in accounting, finance, or business administration who are interested in gaining practical professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Intern will assist with a variety of accounting and financial support tasks, including:

· Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including tracking project expenses and preparing monthly invoices.

· Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

· Perform data entry and financial record-keeping in the company’s accounting system.

· Organize and maintain financial documentation such as invoices, receipts, and payroll-related records.

· Assist with bank reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring company records align with financial statements.

· Help prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.

· Support the company’s external CPA with documentation related to tax preparation and financial reporting.

· Maintain organized financial filing systems and controlled documentation.

· Assist with budgeting and forecasting projects.

· Maintain, update, and archive company documentation within the document control system.

· Conduct research on accounting practices and industry standards as needed.

Qualifications

Education

· Current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student or recent graduate

· Major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Availability

· Able to commit 15–20 hours per week

Skills and Competencies

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Analytical thinking and accuracy with financial data

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Technical Skills

· Proficiency in:

o Microsoft Word

o Microsoft Excel

o Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)

· QuickBooks experience preferred (training available)
