Do you love the outdoors? Do you love talking to people from all over the world and teaching them about the beautiful redwood forest? Redwood Sightseeing Tours is looking for a fun, responsible, knowledgeable guide to lead our tours this summer. Jobs will be offered to the most impressive applicants who are able to best adhere to our high standards of excellence. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and a memorable experience to those visiting Redwood National and State Park.

 Prior knowledge of the flora, fauna history, and wildlife of Redwood National Park is preferred. All interviews are done remotely, via zoom. Once hired, you will be required to:

-Show a valid driver’s license

-pass a drug test

-pass a background check

-enroll in our DMV pull notification program (no points on record)

Scheduling: This is a seasonal tour guide position starting mid May and ending at the end of October ​if business is generating income. Weekdays, Weekends and holidays are required. Jobs will be offered as a part time position, guaranteed 15 hours a week, with a possibility of a full time schedule, dependent on demand. Applicants must be able to work full time if needed.

Salary: Tour guides are paid per tour completed. Salaries are paid at $25-27/hr an hour. Tour guides keep all individual gratuity, which ranges from $20-$100 each tour.

Requirements: All candidates must be able to drive and give a tour simultaneously. All candidates preferably should have either have previous outdoor education or related field experience, guiding experience, or show a strong sense of understanding the Redwood environment. A bachelor's degree is preferred. All candidates must have at least 8 years of general driving experience. All candidates must have a valid driver's license. All candidates must have a clean driving record. All candidates must speak English fluently. All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States of America. All candidates must be willing to commute to our business location in Crescent City, ca.
