Gallery Internship
Lio Malca/60 White is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to intern Tuesday through Saturday for a minimum period of three months. Candidates should be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and a team player. Strong organizational skills and an interest in art are ideal. The position is full-time.
This internship will report to the Gallery’s Director and provides a valuable opportunity for students in art history and fine arts who wish to gain insight into the inner workings of a contemporary art space. The role is public-facing and may involve sitting at 60 White, assisting with tours, and interacting with visitors and high-profile individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of the visual presentation of the office
- Organize, manage, and order gallery supplies
- Direct incoming calls and take detailed messages
- Assist in proper handling, packaging, and storage of artworks
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, including FedEx, USPS and messenger deliveries
- Provide overall administrative support and assist gallery directors
- Arrangement of shipping and logistics
- Compile and create artwork checklists, release forms, and shipping invoices
- Proofread and copy edit texts
- Assist with general errands including pick-ups and deliveries
- Assist with gallery events as needed

Qualifications:
- Experience in art and art culture
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in art history, arts administration
- Availability to work Saturdays
- Passion for and knowledge of contemporary art
- Efficient and able to work in fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, with professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Positive and motivated attitude
