Job Summary

Playing Our Part Speech Therapy, P.C. is a small, speech therapist–owned pediatric private practice serving children ages 0–17 and their families in Yucaipa, CA. Our practice focuses on relationship-based, family-centered care and practical strategies that support communication in everyday life.

We are seeking a part-time pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who values collaboration, flexibility, and meaningful work with families. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys autonomy, a thoughtful caseload, and working closely with caregivers rather than high-volume or productivity-driven environments.

Location: Our practice is located at 12189 7th Street STE 3, Yucaipa, CA, in a business suite within the Atlas Storage complex (please note this is a private office, not the storage units)

Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, and treat children in the areas of speech and language, including early language development, speech sound development, and functional communication
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each child’s needs and family priorities
  • Provide engaging, child-led therapy sessions
  • Coach and collaborate with parents and caregivers to support carryover outside of sessions
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, session notes, and progress updates
  • Communicate professionally with families and, when appropriate, other professionals involved in the child’s care

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active California SLP license (CFs are not eligible to apply at this time)
  • Experience working with children and families preferred
  • Comfort working independently in a private practice setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and family-centered care
