About this Role
BlackRock Global Corporate Communications is looking for an Analyst, Internal Communications based in New York City, to support the execution of communication initiatives that shape the employee experience at the firm. This role will be an important member of a highly collaborative, global team dedicated to solving complex global communication and engagement challenges in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

•Action internal campaigns and initiatives that drive and support BlackRock’s strategy, business priorities, and culture, including gathering requirements, developing plans and content, and coordinating distribution across a variety of mediums and channels.

•Manage reactive requests with urgency and accuracy while driving forward proactive, longer-term work.

•Partner with internal stakeholders on strategies and plans that support the firm’s global businesses and functions.

•Support the deployment of communication and engagement activities that bring the firm’s One BlackRock Culture to life for employees globally.

•Contribute to interesting and engaging multimedia content for employees across a variety of channels.

•Become an expert at deploying content and information across a variety of digital platforms and tech-enabled channels, including the selection and use of compelling design, imagery and visual assets. Think holistically about new ways to deliver that content.

•Collaborate with internal teams to execute various firmwide events, including global town halls, Managing Director & Director meetings, and other special events as needed.

•Assist with project management on strategic communications on teams’ deliverables

•Track and measure how internal communication programs, content, and deliverables perform across internal channels and make recommendations based on the insights.

•Develop strong working relationships with members of the broader Corporate Communications team in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, as well as across business and functional support teams.

•Be a student of BlackRock’s business and value propositions for employees, clients, and investors.
 

Who can apply:
Undergraduate or master’s students graduating between September 2025 through July 2026.


What are we looking for?
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, plus up experience, preferably in a corporate communications, agency/consultancy, journalism, and/or marketing role preferred but not required.

•Excellent relationship and communication skills, particularly when it comes to conversations with team members, business partners, and senior leaders.

•Exceptional writing and editing abilities, including spelling and grammar skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.

•Innovative approach to working – thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, video, audio, in-person experiences, and more, as possible ways to engage with employees.

•Creative, results-oriented problem-solver with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with resilience, intellectual curiosity, and flexibility.

•Agile, critical thinking, with an ability to integrate input from multiple stakeholders and synthesize complex information quickly and effectively.

•Strong project management and organizational skills with aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.

•An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic.

•Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of emerging technologies and tools, (e.g. GenAI); willingness to learn additional skills.


Desired experience, but not essential
•Experience with communications tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Viva Engage, Poppulo or comparable email mailing software).

•Strong PowerPoint skills and knowledge of other design tools, such as Canva

•Knowledge of industry-leading strategies and methodologies, including: 

•Effective storytelling and content development and management

•Eye for design and adherence to brand guidelines

•Platform management and optimizing search

•Employee engagement and change communications

•Analytics and measurement
