Dental Hygienist – Pediatric (Multiple Locations – Cincinnati Area)

We are excited to announce continued growth across our pediatric dental practices and are actively seeking a passionate Dental Hygienist to join our team! This opportunity supports our expanding offices at Westside Pediatric Dentistry, Harrison Pediatric Dentistry, and Lawrenceburg Pediatric Dentistry.

As we grow, we are looking for a hygienist who is enthusiastic about working with children and wants to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven organization dedicated to delivering exceptional pediatric dental care. Job Summary

As a vital member of our dental team, you will play an important role in providing exceptional preventive care for our young patients. You will help create a positive and comfortable dental experience for children while educating families about the importance of lifelong oral health.

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and removing plaque and tartar from children’s teeth
  • Educate children and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative dental care
  • Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay
  • Conduct oral health assessments and identify signs of cavities, gum disease, or other dental concerns
  • Take and develop dental X-rays to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with pediatric dentists and team members to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Comfort and guide children who may feel anxious during dental visits
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with dental practice regulations
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared for procedures
  • Stay informed on advancements in pediatric dental hygiene through continuing education

Pediatric Hygienist Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
  • Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development and pediatric oral health needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage anxious or uncooperative children with patience and empathy
  • Proficiency in dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications
  • Knowledge of dental radiography and the ability to take and process X-rays
  • Commitment to maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols
  • CPR certification
