This is a rare opportunity for a Civil or Industrial Engineer to join a world-class team of engineers, architects, builders, and developers at the ground level of a transformative infrastructure project in Georgia. The SR 400 Peach Partners Express Lanes project spans 16 miles, with a construction value exceeding $4 billion, scheduled through 2031, followed by a 50-year maintenance period. In this role, the Engineer will support the Developer and D&C Officer, ensuring alignment across all phases of this landmark project.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience in project oversight and construction. This role will serve as the Developer’s technical representative responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring design and construction activities performed by the D&C Partner. This role works to ensure that all design deliverables comply with contractual, regulatory, and technical requirements while maintaining consistency across disciplines and project segments. The position requires close collaboration with GDOT, the Independent Quality Firm (IQF), and other project stakeholders to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery of project milestones.
Experience:
· 5 years working with major heavy/civil general contractor, road experience preferred
· BS in Engineering, preferably Civil (would consider Industrial)
· Experience with Primavera P-6
· Excel/Microsoft suite of products
· Experience working in Georgia/GDOT preferred
Responsibilities:
You will be part of the Developer team as an Engineer supporting the entire senior staff but more specifically the D&C manager and the Chief Technical Officer (CTO). You will assist the team by executing and maintaining the contract’s administrative requirements with precision and efficiency.
Focus:
- Engage with GDOT, general contractors, and subcontractors as needed
- Take the lead on tasks as required and follow through with little oversight
- Work with Senior Management and fully engage in a variety of tasks/projects to support the D&C Manager and CTO.
- Motivated/self-starter/relationship builder
- Using your experience with Primavera software (P-6), support the team with monthly analysis of the contractor’s schedule
- Support the team with problem solving skills, relative to non-conforming work
- Engage with our QA firm to provide context to issues as they arise.
- Use your excellent excel skills to organize and analyze large amounts of data
- Support the team with reporting requirements after gathering feedback from all parties
- Support the team with oversight and engagement with our general contractor for the construction of our future operations and maintenance facility (O&M building)
- Ability to present well
- Ability to read and decipher construction plans and specifications applying critical thinking skills to interpret
- Regular site visits to verify construction progress
