Arts & Crafts Coordinator

  • Activities Coordinator Position -  Camp TAW’s Activity Lead Coordinators report to the Activity Director and oversee the running of a specific set of activities. These coordinators do not live in cabins with campers, are typically 21 years of age, and have the ability to drive.  Activity Lead Coordinators must have experience in the areas they are leading.  They are responsible for camper engagement in activities, providing feedback to staff in their areas, activity skill progression, and communicating and evaluating equipment needs specific to their area. The Activity Lead Coordinators are responsible for evaluating the staff in their activity areas and managing paperwork such as skills verifications and inventories. In addition to activity duties detailed above, each Activity Lead Coordinator is assigned to a Cabin Area to provide support to campers, counselors, and programs during times when activity programs are not operating. These coordinators will be responsible for leading and/or participating in their activity area during Activity Training conducted throughout Training Week .They should be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Arts & Crafts Coordinator -  Camp TAW’s Arts & Crafts Coordinator oversees the art & crafts classes; she will manage basic and advanced arts and crafts class, basic metal smithing, glass fusion, pottery, painting, and beading.  This coordinator will need to have suitable knowledge of (or the ability to learn) the craft supplies and tools required for these classes and be comfortable managing lesson planning for an arts program across skill levels. This coordinator will have a prominent role during Staff Training week as she, with the assistance from the administration team, will be expected to plan the training curriculum for these activities.
