A Day in the Life of a Sales Desk Intern (Touchstone Investments)
Western & Southern is looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting our Touchstone Sales Department in various projects throughout the year. You will be working closely with our team to manage and track campaigns and events, support our RFP department on large opportunities.
The Touchstone Sales Internship includes a hands-on experience with various assignments within Touchstone Investments that includes internal sales, marketing, data, research and technology. Responsibilities include working in our CRM, campaign tracking, technology testing, competitive data analysis and working within our institutional team on lead generation. In addition, this associate will receive training in sales and marketing distribution, product development and other areas of the Touchstone Fund Family. Finally, as a part of Western & Southern Financial Group, this associate will be a part of larger internship activities both virtual and on campus which will help them develop their skills and network across the enterprise.
Duration of Internship: Summer or Fall 2026
Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
• SalesPage & Salesforce Initiatives – various assignments working within both of Touchstone’s CRM tools to help enhance the sales experience for both the internal and external sales associate. Within Salesforce, working on special projects for the onboarding Salesforce within our retail channel.
• Campaign/Event Tracking – working in the SalesPage CRM to track post event activity and sales and provide impact reporting to sales management in a timely manner.
• Marketing – Supporting the Strategic Marketing Department in providing financial professional lists to each territory prior a large communication goes out. Working within the marketing group to setup schedules and timeline of distributions.
• Investment Strategy Specialist – working closely with our investment strategy specialist team to help with competitive analysis on mutual funds and supporting the population of ticker symbols to build for future opportunity for our sales group.
• Institutional Channel – Leveraging financial professional data through a 3rd party vendor, building out Salesforce to help with uncovering leads for the institutional team to expand their sales efforts into more RIAs and Banks. In addition, data mining for 401k opportunities.

• Structure of Fund Family and Wholesaler Distribution
• Touchstone Funds Product Training
• Proper profiling of advisors and positioning of products and services
• Shadowing of Internal Wholesaler and Investment Strategy Specialists
• Presentation Training – Both in person and virtual
• Know Your Value, Personal Branding and Art of the Interview
Intern Requirements:
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer skills in MS Word & MS Excel
• Be able to work independently and a self-starter
• Be able to handle multiple deadlines and prioritize their projects
• Candidate must have completed their sophomore year of college
